libapm-dev software package provides Library for interacting with APM driver in kernel, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libapm-dev
libapm-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libapm-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libapm-dev *
You will get with libapm-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
